Add a node
Run a Gao DePIN node on your own host, computer or phone and bind it to your Gao ID. Your node makes its own key and joins the network by itself — no admin token, no approval by anyone. Gao's own nodes take this same path.
Where will your node run?
1Sign in with Gao ID
Your Gao ID
Checking for a Gao ID session…
2Install the public node SDK
On a Linux host (amd64 or arm64, systemd) with a public IPv4 address, inbound TCP 80 and 443, a DNS name pointing at it, and Caddy installed with its caddy.service (sudo apt-get install -y caddy). The node itself listens on loopback only; Caddy gives it HTTPS.
3Your node makes its own key
On its first start the node creates its own Ed25519 key (/var/lib/gao-relay-node/node.key, readable only by the node). Its NodeID is the public half. The key never leaves the node: never copy it, paste it or send it anywhere — nothing on this site asks for it. The installer prints the NodeID and a binding link; gao-relay-node id prints the NodeID again at any time. Reinstalling with the same key keeps the same NodeID.
4Bind it to your Gao ID
Open the binding link the installer printed, or enter the NodeID here. On the binding page you get one command for the node; the node signs it with its own key, which proves it holds the key, and the registry records your Gao ID as its owner.
Bound with the profiles the installer configures: Group Object V1, Mailbox V2.
5Status
Enter your node's NodeID in step 4 to follow it here.
Every node added here is owned by your Gao ID, never by a wallet. The V1 storage node's wallet-owner setup is legacy and not part of this onboarding: legacy V1 storage setup.
